  2. After the soaking period, bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Then reduce the heat to low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice flakes are very soft.
  3. While the rice flakes are cooking, put the mango in a blender and blend for 1 minute until smooth. Stir the puréed mango into the cereal, then sprinkle with the grated apple. Serve the dish warm for a comforting and delicious start to your day.
