15. Crab Pudding (PASTEL DE JAIVAS) Back


  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp grated bread
  • 1 cup of cream
  • 3 eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup crab meat flaked
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 chopped onion
  • Garlic
  • 3 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Fry the chopped onion and garlic in the butter until soft. Stir all ingredients except the eggs and the cheese.

Add the beaten eggs, pour into a buttered pudding dish and sprinkle the cheese on top. Bake in a preheated oven 400ºF (205ºC) for 20 minutes.
